CEMB is pleased to feature Hongzhe Li, PhD, Perelman Professor of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, Director, Center for Statistics in Big Data, and Vice Chair for Research Integration in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics. Dr. Li is an expert in the use of cutting-edge analytical tools to help mine complex datasets, including multiple omics data sets where the goal is to yield mechanistic insights into biological processes. Dr. Li will use an example of his work with the gut microbiome to illustrate the power of statistical and computational tools, many of which may be of great interest to CEMB faculty going forward.
